Ovulation and Menstrual Cycle

  • What is ovulation, and when does it occur?

Ovulation is when an ovary releases an egg, usually around the middle of your menstrual cycle (day 14 in a 28-day cycle).

  • How can I track my ovulation?

You can track ovulation using basal body temperature, ovulation predictor kits, or monitoring cervical mucus changes.

  • Can irregular cycles affect my chances of getting pregnant?

Yes, irregular cycles can make it harder to predict ovulation and time intercourse. Consult your doctor if irregular cycles persist.

  • How many days am I fertile each cycle?

You’re most fertile during the 5 days leading up to ovulation and the day of ovulation itself.

  • Does having regular periods mean I’m ovulating?

Regular periods are a good indicator, but ovulation should still be confirmed using ovulation tests or tracking methods.

  • Can stress delay ovulation?

Yes, high levels of stress can affect hormones and delay or stop ovulation temporarily.
